This week I have found myself in several discussions focusing on effective teaching. These conversations drove me back to a work by William R. Yount entitled Called to Teach: An Introduction to the Ministry of Teaching. The Garden

One of my joys this summer has been the opportunity to join a wonderful group of “green thumb” gardeners in the BBC Missions Garden. This “community garden” has been a delightful way to meet new friends and engage in un-hurried conversations about beans, bugs and the stuff of life. The added benefit will include a bountiful harvest of tomatoes, cucumbers and squash for my family, friends and others that enjoy fresh produce. Bones

Bones. Reading from Ezekiel 37, “He sat me down in the middle of a valley of dry bones.” We know the feeling. Things get difficult and no matter which way we turn, nothing but dry bones.
