Let Your Light Shine
While actively seeking my next ministry position, I am working part-time at Lowe’s to help with expenses. After a lifetime of serving local churches, it has been good to literally “practice what I preach” by making disciples and serving others in marketplace ministry.
More than ever the world needs to “see” active faith and Christlikeness modeled before them. I have often said “your walk talks and your talk talks, but your walk talks louder than your talk talks”. I have found this true, especially in the places where we live, work and play.
Jesus taught us (Matthew 5:16) to “Let your light shine before others so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven”.
Words and deeds are powerful Gospel tools. When used appropriately in the workplace, spiritual growth, effective ministry and disciple making take place.
Discipleship and ministry happen within the walls of our churches, workplaces and homes. It happens through simple, but intentional, words and deeds. It is inspired and initiated by the Holy Spirit, and executed by obedient disciples of Jesus.
Thanks for your continued encouragement, prayers and passing my resume along as God leads. Know that I have given my life to ministry and will continue to joyfully and obediently serve Christ as He open doors; either in a local church, association or convention or a workplace that needs a little light to shine that bring glory to our Father!
