Let’s Go for a Walk!

We all know that walking is good for the mind, body and soul. Each year I invite friends and family to take a daily walk. Not a physical walk, but a walk through the Bible. This year, our annual walk will focus on Christology — The theological study of the person, personality and deeds of Jesus.

Walking together, we’ll journey through the Gospels, Acts, and selected Christological passages to gain insights into the heart and actions of Jesus. My hope is that the personality and deeds of Christ will become such a part of people’s lives that they naturally flow out of them where they live, work, and play.

Those taking the daily walk, will experience Scripture in a new light and see how practical God’s Word can be in finding answers to the questions they face each day. They will learn how to share their innermost thoughts with God, handle disappointments and heartaches, express joy and praise, and draw on the unlimited power of God.

Let’s walk together so we can share in the joy of the journey. Don’t run too far ahead or lag too far behind. Do your best to stay with the group and remember that we’re taking this walk together. If you get tired, ask a friend to encourage you and keep putting one foot in front of the other. You’ll be glad you did.

Now, grab your Bible and start walking.

Enjoy the journey!
